Mission
The Manresa Association represents residential communities surrounding Manresa Island and focuses on protecting their quality of life as the site’s future is shaped. The association engages with residents, Manresa Wilds, municipal officials, and other stakeholders to address issues such as traffic, noise, lighting, safety, environmental conditions, and wildlife habitat to help minimize adverse impacts to local neighborhoods.
Why Manresa Island Matters
Manresa Island, purchased by Austin and Alison McChord in 2024, is undergoing a long-term transition that presents both opportunities and challenges. Its location, environmental sensitivity, and proximity to established residential neighborhoods mean that decisions about its future will have lasting impacts well beyond the island itself.
